Yesterday August 15, 2011 I played for a wedding ceremony and cocktail reception at Barcelo Langosta in Guanacaste, Costa Rica with the group Los Mojitos. The hotel is a large all-inclusive resort just south of Tamarindo, about a one hour drive from Liberia International Airport.
The resort is located right on the beach and they set up an area there for the ceremony.
Los Mojitos played as a duet of piano and bass, performing a variety of easy listening tunes including Stand By Me, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Let It Be, I Will and Come Away With Me. The band also has the option of guitar, saxophone or a female vocalist.
Although this is green season in Costa Rica, May to November, there was no rain and it was sunny with another beautiful sunset.
After the ceremony we moved to one of the lounge bars in the Barcelo Langosta Resort and we then played for the cocktail hour, before dinner.

You can have Los Mojitos playing a mix of pop, latin, soft rock, jazz and bossa nova music featuring Warren Alani (keyboards) and Brad Moodie (bass & trumpet). They can also add saxophone, guitar or a female vocalist as optional extras.
This band specializes in wedding cocktail receptions but also plays for elegant restaurants, hotels, wine tasting functions, coffee shops and for corporate events. The most romantic music featuring piano, beautiful voice and bass would be the perfect background music to give your wedding a special ambiance.
There are many beautiful places to get married in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Los Mojitos have performed for weddings at Pacifico Beach Club, Reserva Conchal, Paradisus Conchal, The Riu Hotel and Red Palm Villas.
The band has all the equipment necessary to perform including amplifiers, mixers, speakers, microphones and lights. All that is required is a space approximately 10′x 10′ and one regular plug in.

On Friday January 27th 2012 and Friday February 3 2012, the Canadian jazz vocalist Melinda Whitaker will be performing at La Finisterra Hotel in Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Melinda will be visiting Costa Rica from Vancouver and she will be performing with local jazz group Los Mojitos, featuring Warren Alani on piano, Brad Moodie on bass and Don Bruch on jazz guitar.

Last night Los Mojitos performed for a wedding at Tierra Magnifica in Nosara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Nosara is about a two hour drive south of Liberia International Airport (LIR). Unfortunately access to Nosara is by a horrible dirt road which takes about an hour, but once you get there you’ll see that Tierra Magnifica is a beautiful spot.
Tierra Magnifica is a boutique hotel set up on a hilltop overlooking the ocean, with I think 10 rooms. It’s really a fantastic place with spectacular views!
Los Mojitos performed music for the event. We played as a guitar duet for the ceremony, then we added keyboards, saxophone and vocals for the dance reception.

I have a jazz duo in Costa Rica called Intermezzo, featuring Vittorio Petrosillo on piano and Brad Moodie on bass.

Los Mojitos performed for another wedding yesterday, August 5 2011, this time at Bahia Pez Vela Resort, near Playas Del Coco, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
It’s a beautiful place, located past Playa Ocotal. It’s the next beach south, much quieter and secluded than Ocotal, Coco, Playa Hermosa or Playa Panama.
This wedding was small, only 15 guests from North Carolina but it was a great time, everyone was really nice including the Pez Vela staff.
Los Mojitos is a duet of Warren Alani on piano and Brad Moodie on bass, but this time we had jazz guitar ace Don Bruch join us for the ceremony music.
After the ceremony we continued to play for cocktails, and we had another addition to the band. Fabio Bello joined us on alto saxophone and we played a variety of jazz, swing, pop, reggae and bossa nova.
